The IMD-LODH Family Business Award

This award is given to a family business that has global presence. Corporate governance, family values and generations’ involvement in management are among the criteria for the selection. Helmes, Lego, Henkel (chemical) and Barila (food) are among the past winners. YAZAKI Corporation is the first winner from the automotive industry and also as a Japanese company.

IMD-LODH introduced this award to YAZAKI and invited us to participate in the award ceremony. Beginning this year YAZAKI, with IMD-LDOH, is hosting the YAZAKI Global Leader Program. IMD-LODH is also known for excellent programs in the field of family business research. During the selection phase, the owner’s family values reflected in business management, solutions for environmental issues through new businesses and development programs for younger generations were identified as strong points.
