European Environmental, Health & Safety
A safe workplace for our employees and the protection of our natural environment have always been our highest priority and is rooted in our company policy (Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S)).
In line with the corporate EH&S activity 1997 in Japan, we have also created a dedicated EH&S division in Europe.
Certifications
In December 2004 our YAZAKI Europe Limited Environmental Management System Certification ISO 14001 was achieved and included all manufacturing sites. As our facilities also wanted to see their efforts on Health and Safety rewarded with a certificate, the scope was extended to include the OHSAS 18001. In December 2006 all facilities achieved the additional certification.
Permanent Environmental Awareness
Economic success and ecological accountability are not actually a contradiction in terms. We strive daily to balance the needs of our customers and colleagues with the protection of the environment and the interests of YAZAKI.
The protection of the environment has been assigned the status of a separate corporate goal. Therefore at YAZAKI the environmental compatibility of production and technical processes and our products are optimized and monitored. The interaction with the environment as well as the protection of our natural resources is the policy in all our business activities.
YAZAKI places the credo of environmentally aware actions into the hands of each employee and optimizes this process within the scope of a continuous leadership task. Each person is motivated to ensure, at his or her own jobsite, that we move ever closer to achieving our goal of bringing technology and nature into balance each and every day.
