Yazaki Ukraine LLC joined the launch of Japan service Desk as an example of effective Japanese business in Ukraine

In early July, Lviv hosted an important event in the field of international economic cooperation - the launch of the Japan service Desk, the first municipal Japanese-language platform designed to support Japanese investment in the region. The event was attended by representatives of Japanese businesses operating in Ukraine, including Jozef Polak, General Manager of Yazaki Ukraine LLC, and Alla Kovach, Deputy of Plant manager.

The Japan service Desk is a specialised service that will operate on the basis of the Investment and Projects Department of Lviv City Council. The platform was created to provide personalised support to Japanese companies that are already operating or planning to start operations in Ukraine, particularly in Lviv and the west of the country. Its launch was made possible through cooperation with the Japan External Trade Organisation JETRO, with which Lviv City Council signed a Memorandum.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, JETRO, and top managers of leading Japanese companies. The representatives of Yazaki Ukraine LLC, one of the largest foreign employers in western Ukraine, joined the event.

According to JETRO, almost half of Japanese companies operating in Europe are ready to support Ukraine's recovery process. These are key areas such as agriculture, infrastructure, healthcare, IT, and logistics. In this context, Yazaki Ukraine plays the role of not only a stable investor, but also a potential guide for other Japanese companies that are only considering entering the Ukrainian market.
